Recovery Help for NSW Bushfires - Summer 2017

The Sir Ivan Bushfire

The Sir Ivan Fire Recovery Centre has now closed however the Warrumbungle Shire Council will continue to provide recovery information for those affected by The Sir Ivan Fire.

The Council office is at 59 Binnia Street, Coolah and the recovery phone number is (02) 6377 1122.

Grants for Primary Producers

To support those affected by the Sir Ivan bushfire, grants of up to $15,000 will be provided to eligible primary producers to help with costs associated with cleaning up, salvaging crops and repairing damaged equipment.

To apply for a grant phone the Rural Assistance Authority on 1800 678 593.

The Carwoola Bushfire

The Queanbeyan-Palerang Regional Council will continue to provide recovery information for those affected by The Carwoola Bushfire.

The Council office is at 256 Crawford St Queanbeyan and is open from 8.30am to 4.30pm daily.

A local hotline has also been established. Phone (02) 6285 6900 or email recovery@qprc.nsw.gov.au

Donating goods for those affected by the bushfires

Thank you for thinking of those who have been affected by the recent bushfires in NSW. Your interest and kindness is much appreciated and public support makes a big difference to community recovery. At this stage the community needs are still being assessed and we need to ensure any donations are made in a coordinated way.

Agencies are currently unable to accept food or donated goods however the Warrumbungle Shire Mayor has launched a targeted appeal for those affected by the Sir Ivan Fire.

People wishing to donate good quality fodder can call the NSW Local Lands Services on (02) 6841 6525 to discuss what they would like to donate.
