The Department of Justice, Office of Emergency Management (OEM) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) 3531 that manages emergency management training programs throughout NSW. The training is coordinated through the Regional Emergency Management Officers (REMOs). Training is offered to employees and volunteers from Emergency Services, Functional Areas, government and non-government organisations at the state, regional and local levels. All training courses are fee-free.
OEM training and assessment is delivered using a number of platforms: online course modules, class based courses, post course assessment and recognition only pathways.
There are currently seven Emergency Management training programs available, two online courses and five class based courses. OEM's courses range from short introductory EM courses to courses on managing evacuations or emergencies, and designing and managing exercises.
The goal of OEM is to provide high quality training for our students. We are committed to helping you develop the skills and knowledge required for the Emergency Management industry.
