Natural Disaster Mitigation Program
The Natural Disaster Mitigation Program (NDMP) funding round for 2008 - 2009 opened on Monday 7 July 2008 and will close on Friday 29 August 2008.The Natural Disaster Mitigation Program aims to identify and address natural disaster risk priorities across the nation. Funds are available for a range of measures that contribute to safer, sustainable communities better able to withstand the effects of natural disasters.

Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements
The Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements (NDRRA) is a joint State/Australian Government program which provides financial assistance following natural disaster events.

Working Together to Manage Emergencies
Applications for funding 2008-2009 are now closed.
The 2008-2009 program will consist only of the National Emergency Volunteer Support Fund (NEVSF). The Local Grants Scheme will not be offered.
Grants are available for projects that assist in maintaining adequate staffing and training levels and that address the challenge of attracting new volunteers.
