Emergency Management Arrangements (NSW)

Aim

To introduce participants to the Australian Emergency Management concepts and the arrangements that apply in NSW.

Outcomes

  • Outline the recognised concepts of emergency management
  • Outline the emergency management arrangements that apply in NSW
  • Describe their agency's role within the context of emergency management; and
  • Describe the relationships between agencies involved in emergency management.

Duration

7 hours

Attendance

Any person, paid or volunteer, engaged in emergency management activities within the public and private sectors. Distance learning optional.

Assessment

Participants are not assessed during the course. However, the course provides underpinning knowledge for three strands of training which include an optional formal assessment process.

Nil

This course is a prerequisite for all other Emergency Management   training, including training at the Emergency Management Australia Institute (EMAI).
