PRIORITY
Coastal Waters Wind Warning
For NSW waters south of Wooli on Thursday.
Issued at 3:50 pm EDT on Wednesday 25 November 2009

Synoptic situation
A slow moving high in the Tasman Sea and a trough approaching from the west will
combine to direct strengthening northeasterly airstream along NSW coast.

Strong Wind Warning
For the South Coast, from Green Cape to Gabo Island

N/NE winds increasing to 20/30 knots by midday on Thursday. Seas rising to 2 to
3 metres. Swell 1 to 1.5 metres.

Strong Wind Warning
For the Mid North Coast, Hunter Coast, Sydney Coast, Illawarra Coast, South
Coast, from Wooli to Green Cape

N/NE winds increasing to 20/30 knots on Thursday afternoon. Seas rising to 2 to
3 metres. Swell 1 to 1.5 metres.

The next warning will be issued by 11 pm Wednesday.

Please be aware
Wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the averages given here,
and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.
